Pre-Conference Workshops
- Workshop 1: Cycling Infrastructure – Perceived and Objective Safety
In most countries there is an explicit goal to increase cycling and other types of active transport. To get people to use the bicycle it must be perceived as safe. However, some infrastructure solutions can be perceived as safe when they in fact are not. This challenge will be addressed and discussed at the ICSC workshop in Oslo. Participants will be asked to provide examples from their own countries, and examples from Oslo will be presented. Read more here.
- Workshop 2: Getting Along on the Road – Respect, Communication, and Safety
How can all road users get along? In this interactive workshop we will explore getting along on the road and ways to address road rage. Through presentations and group work, practical interventions will be designed to make our roads safer and more inclusive. Read more here.
Lunch from 12:00–13:00 is included.
